Based in Toms River, New Jersey, Action Termite and Pest Control is dedicated to delivering prompt and professional pest control services. Founded in 1971, by Richard F. Russell, Action has been family owned for three generations.

Action began as a general pest control service company providing Termite, General Pest, Commercial Pest, and Animal Control. In 2007, Action purchased the first Bed Bug Inspection Dog in order to be prepared for the coming bed bug infestation pandemic. At this same time, Action developed an integrated pest management solution for bed bug eradication utilizing a concoction of chemicals dispersed in a variety of ways, a thorough steam treatment, and the use of bed bug dogs through out the identification and treatment process.

Currently, Action’s Bed Bug Division utilizes 5 Bed Bug Dogs, employees 18 highly trained service technicians, handlers, sales representatives and customer service representatives. Action’s services are now offered in New York and Pennsylvania, as well as, New Jersey. With the addition of the canine teams, Action has also developed a training facility and kennel to provide for the comfort and on going training of our bed bug dogs. Recently, Action’s Bed Bug Control Division and Bed Bug Dogs have been featured on NBC’s Today Show, FORBES, NPR’s All Things Considered, FOX NY/Philly, SKY Europe, TV Tokyo America, WPIX, KYW Philly, the Los Angeles Times, the Atlantic Monthly, and the Asbury Park Press.
New in 2011 for Action will be a new office location that is currently under construction with an opening to the public date set for April. The new office will be located on Route 35 in Red Bank, New Jersey. Action’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Michael Russell, who developed the Action Marketing Plan for Action’s Bed Bug Control has been chosen to grow the new office location.
